According to the regulations, a gaming licence is issued for a period of 5 years. On expiration of such term, the Malta Gaming Authority may renew such licence for further 5 year periods, subject to continued compliance by the Licensee, in the previous licensing term, of the conditions of the licence, the Act, the Regulations and any Directives issued there under.

What you'll get

On successful completion of the gaming licence renewal process, the Licensee will be granted an additional 5 year licence.

Existing gaming Licensees are required to apply to show their intention to renew their licence at least 60 days before the expiration of the current licence. Should the required documentation and payment not reach the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) in time, the MGA is not in a position to guarantee the issuance of the renewed licence/s by the expiry date. In such circumstances, the MGA reserves the right to issue an administrative fine. On successful completion of the gaming application process, the applicant would be granted a 5 year licence.
