This scheme is to encourage the use of renewable sources of energy for domestic use.
Applicants will receive an approval or otherwise of the grant for the installation of a Solar Water Heater (SWH) system through a letter.
Applicants are refunded 75% of the costs of the Solar Water Heater itself, including VAT, and capped at €1,400. An additional grant of €500 will be provided after 5 years to cover the maintenance costs against a receipt issued by the supplier..
