Transport and Communications

This form is used by the Local Councils and other Entities to apply for Alighting/Boarding Parking Bays, Coastal Areas, Electric Vehicle (EV) Bays, General On Street Parking Bays, Keep Clear Parking Bays, Non-Motorised Vehicles, Prohibitions, Reserved Parking Bays and Un/Loading Parking Bays.

A driver attestation is required by drivers of goods vehicles having a gross vehicle weight greater than 3,500 kg who are not EU Nationals. Employers of such drivers may apply for a driver attestation on behalf of their employee, as set out in the Motor Vehicles (Carriage of Goods by Road) Regulations (S.L. 65.19) and in Regulations 1072/2009/EC of the European Parliament and Council.

Drivers of lorries and/or coaches which are used in foreign countries must have a Driver Card (Tachograph Card). Tachographs record information about driving time, speed and distance.

Any driver wishing to attain a Driving Instructor Permit may apply with this form and start a series of relative tests.

A medical certificate is required to renew any of the Categories C and D, for any client over 70 years of age and/or on request as the need arises.

A person who needs to apply for a learner's permit under Category A (Motorcycles) must fill in this application.

A person who needs to apply for a learner's permit under Category B (Vehicles) must fill in this application.

A person who needs to apply for a learner's permit under Category C (Vans) must fill in this application.

A person who needs to apply for a learner’s permit under Category D (coach/minibus/bus) must fill in this application.

The purpose of this application is to enable a client who is already in possession of a Learner’s Permit to apply for a Practical Test in the Category applied for. Completion of this form would mean that client is ready to be tested with his chosen Instructor/School and would be available to be called up for a test anytime after 3 weeks from receipt of the application.
