Registered companies or individuals wanting to operate a commercial vessel within ports, internal and territorial waters around Malta are to apply by using this form.

Eligibility
In order to obtain a Commercial Vessel Operator’s Licence an individual must be:
1) At least 18 years of age.
2) Be a Maltese Citizen or Citizen of an EU member state and a holder of a permanent address in Malta.
3) Good conduct.
In the case of Maltese and EU companies, these need to be registered.

In instances where the application is submitted by an individual it is to include:
i) A copy of the ID Card (front and back).
ii) Police conduct.
In the event that the operator is a company/business entity, the following documents must be submitted with application form:
i) A copy of the ID Card (front and back) of authorised person representing such company.
ii) A copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association/statute.
