This International Standard provides a set of requirements for any organisation to implement an Occupational Health And Safety management system. While its main purpose is to safeguard the health and safety of employees, it also provides a tool that can be used by management to identify Health and Safety Risks and opportunities and actions to address them. Certification of such management system implies that management in an organisation is committed towards providing a healthy and safety work environment.

If your organisation has implemented a health and safety management system, opting for certification would be ideal to obtain international recognition of the continuous commitment in providing a healthy and safety work environment. Your organisation will be awarded with a certificate as proof of such commitment.

Any type of organisation operating in any industrial and public sector is eligible for such certification. Once the management system complies with the requirements of ISO 45001:2017, eligibility requirements are met. It shall be noted that such service is available only to organisations registered and operating in Malta.
