Overview
The statute regulates the internal management of the proposed co-operative and the relationship between members and the COM and also the relationship between the co-operative itself and third parties, including the Co-operatives Board.
What You'll Get
The Co-operatives Board approves both the registration of a new co-operative society based on the viability of the proposed business enterprise and as part of the evaluation process also approves the finalised version of the statute which becomes the official document held at the office of the Board.
Eligibility
Any group of 5 prospective members over the age of 18 years can apply to register a new co-op.
