A birth certificate may be requested in an extract format or in full. The extract contains the main details relating to the Act while the full version is a true copy of the Act.

What you'll get

Birth certificate sent by post. Extract certificates ordered online cost €2.50 (€2.60 if ordered personally by the Public Registry) while full certificates ordered online cost €9.95 (€10.25 if ordered personally by the Public Registry).
