The Voluntary Organisations Project Scheme is an initiative supporting projects that fall under the following objectives:
• To stimulate co-operation and networking between voluntary organisations.
• To provide a consultative forum that can effectively address issues related to the Voluntary Sector.
• To provide a platform from which to develop co-operation between voluntary organisations and the Government.
• To promote and encourage a culture of volunteering and the participation in volunteer activities.
• To foster co-operation in the volunteer sector.
The Call for Applications for 2017 shall open annually every October.

Allows volunteer organisations enrolled with the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations (VOs) to apply for funding to undertake projects which fall under the objectives and priorities of the same fund. This fund supports up to 80% of the project to a maximum of €20,000.
