Overview

By law (Subsidiary Legislation 492.01) every enrolled Voluntary Organisation is obliged to submit the Annual Returns and Annual Accounts by filling in the Annual Returns and Annual Accounts forms in accordance with Subsidiary Legislation 492.01).

If Voluntary Organisations comply with Subsidiary Legislation 492.01, they will be certified as compliant.

Eligibility

All Voluntary Organisations Enrolled with the Commissioner must submit the Annual Returns and Annual Accounts in accordance with Subsidiary Legislation 492.01 (Annual Returns and Annual Accounts Regulations) 2012.

How to apply

Fill in the online form, print it and sign it.

Annual returns and accounts should be submitted as per below:  

  

  1. Category 1 – Income less than €50k – within 3 months following financial year end (our Income and expenditure template is enough). 
  2. Category 2 – Income above €50k but less than €250k – within 6 months following financial year end (full set of accounts in GAPSME signed by external warranted Accountant). 
  3. Category 3 – Income above €250k – within 8 months following financial year end (full set of accounts in IFRS audited signed by external warranted Auditor). 

  

For all categories, the Breakdown of income & expenses should be minimum as per our template list.  

  

If the statute states that audited or reviewed by an Accountant for category 1 or 2, these should be presented as per statute.  

    

Documents to submit – These need to be submitted by all Voluntary Organizations.  

  • Annual Return. 
  • Annual Report. 
  • Annual Accounts (as per above categories). 
  • Statement for Public Collections, also if no activities were not held, thus kindly fill it out as nil. 
  • Organisation Chart. 
  • List of Administrators – (kindly submit in Excel format) Please send a copy of the ID card for new board members and fill in the Resignations or Appointment form. 

  

Please note that if you have/had any changes or new members to the current list of administrators you are kindly requested to fill out the appropriate MBR Forms.

 

The change of address form is to be completed only when there is a change.  

   

If there are changes in the statute, this must be dated, and signed by all the Administrators on the last page, should include the Names, Surnames, ID Card Numbers, and Designation of each member of the Committee and initials on every page.

All documents should be signed using original Signatures or electronic signatures. A copied signature will not be accepted.
