First-time buyer scheme

Overview

The Scheme - Grant on the Acuisition of a Residential Property is intended for people who acquired their first property after January 1, 2023. This grant, which will amount to ten thousand euros (€10,000), will be given over a period of ten (10) years to the applicant. The grant will be given through payments of one thousand euros (€1,000) once a year.

 

With this scheme the Housing Authority will give young people a helping hand in the first crucial years after they have made this important investment in their lives and thus encourage them to become owners of their home.

What you'll get

  • The grant under this scheme will amount to ten thousand euros (€10,000) over a period of ten years. The amount of one thousand Euros (€1,000) will be issued by the Housing Authority once a year;

 

  • In case of a couple who acquired the property together and in solidum, and the property is not the first residence of one of the applicants, then the grant will be that of five thousand euros (€5,000) ' five hundred euros (€500) per year for ten (10) years;

Eligibility

  • The property must have been purchased through a loan from a Bank (home loan)

 

  •  The property that qualifies under this scheme must be used and occupied by the applicants exclusively as their ordinary residence;
