Overview
A Temporary Access Card is valid for a maximum of 3 months or end of calendar year, whichever comes first, after which the applicant will have to produce reference letter/s from media houses and thus be able to apply for a Department of Information (DOI) access card. Such temporary access card cannot be renewed beyond the 3 month period and will only be issued once.
What You'll Get
Foreign media personnel and freelancers/new applicants are granted a temporary access card valid for 3 months.
Eligibility
i) Foreign media personnel who visit Malta on journalistic duties.
ii) Freelancers/new applicants.
Application Requirements
Fill in the online form and submit.
Required documents:
i) Letter of reference by a registered editor or head of media organisation.
ii) 2 passport size photographs (or jpeg format by email).
iii) Valid press card (Foreign media personnel who visit Malta on journalistic duties only).
