Legal aid is the provision of assistance to low-income people who are unable to afford legal representation and access to the court system. Legal aid is important in providing access to justice by ensuring equality before the law, the right to counsel and the right to a fair trial to indigent people.

What you'll get

If eligible for legal aid services you will be assigned legal aid lawyer and a legal aid procurator of the Agency assigned by a Court decree in order to be assisted in Court procedures.

Eligibility

In civil cases, after succeeding through the means and merits tests following submitted documents for the case in issue.

In criminal cases, no means test is undertaken.
