Overview

A power of attorney may simply be revoked by filling in the attached form and presenting it to the Office of the Notary to Government. There is no need to notify all the commercial banks and Notaries in Malta in Gozo since application will be uploaded online on the same day when presented. Each application presented will cost €50.

Eligibility

Persons who have signed a power of attorney authorising another person or other persons appearing on their behalf. The person granted the power of attorney may also revoke the power of attorney. Power of Attornies involving companies are not eligible to apply.

The application must be submitted by the person revoking the power of attorney. A notary or lawyer may also be delegated by the person wishing to revoke the power to present the application as long as the application is signed by the same person and the notary or lawyer declares on the application that client signed in his/her presence following their identity card verification.

The form cannot be submitted online due to the requirement of an original signature.
