RHOL - New Road Haulage Operator Licence

Overview

Through this form, applicants apply for an operator licence for the carriage of goods for hire or reward on a National or European level.

What you'll get

An operator licence permitting holder to carry goods for hire or reward anywhere on National and/or EU territory. This is a certificate for the applicant, and a certified true copy is to be kept in each vehicle included under the licence. Validity of certificate is for 5 years.

Eligibility

Undertakings with a clean Police conduct, established in Malta (have an office and at least 1 vehicle registered in Malta), possessing qualifications required to act as Transport Manager (or engage a person that does), and having a a financial standing of at least €9,000 for the 1st vehicle and €5,000 for any subsequent vehicle.

Together with a payment of €120 for licence and €25 per vehicle up to the 5th vehicle.

Reqired documents:

Section B:
- Copy of the Memorandum and Articles and Registration Certificate (for companies).
- Registration of Business Name for Trading Name(s).
- List with names and addresses of partners/members (for partnerships or other undertakings).
- Copy of insurance policy for the place of business.
- Copy of logbook of each vehicle to be used under licence.

Section C:
- Copy of Certificate of Competence.

Section D:
- Original or true copy of conduct certificate or criminal record issued by the relevant Police pertaining to all directors or partners and persons in possession of Certificate of Professional Competence.
- Consent to Repute Enquiry Form.
