Register a new imported vehicle from a Non-EU country.

What you'll get

Vehicle is inspected by Customs officers in order to verify vehicle details. Customs will establish the value for the vehicle on which any dues must be paid at Customs.

Eligibility

Any person importing a new vehicle from a Non-EU country.

How to apply

Print and fill in the form (in duplicate) and send to: 

Customs Department 
Custom House 
Lascaris Wharf 
Valletta VLT 1920

This is done upon the vehicle's arrival into Malta, following which it has to be presented at the Vehicle Licensing Unit (VLU) for registration purpose.
