Overview
This scheme aims to introduce youths and students to the working world, helping them make more informed career choices by allowing them to gain valuable summer work experience with private entities and non-governmental organisations (VOs) based in Gozo.
What you'll get
Eligible participants will work for a period not exceeding 20 hours per week over 5 weeks. Participants will receive a weekly grant of €120, up to a total maximum of €600. If a participant works fewer than the total 100 hours, the payment will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
Eligibility
Youths / Students:
• Job seekers aged 16 to 20 (must turn 16 and not exceed 20 by 31st July 2026).
• Full-time students aged 16 to 25 attending a secondary or tertiary educational institution .
• 15-year-olds who will turn 16 by 31st December 2026 and have completed Form 5/Year 11 (requires a School Leaving Certificate) .
• Applicants must hold a valid I.D. card and a Gozo-based address .
• Must not be benefiting from another paid/unpaid internship or scheme during Summer 2026 and cannot be employed elsewhere during the scheme .
Employers:
• Must be active private companies or Voluntary Organisations (with a valid VO number) permanently based or having branches in Gozo .
• Must be registered with Jobsplus and provide work exposure in Gozo .
• Must not be direct family members of the participant .
• Publicly funded bodies (Ministries, Authorities, Local Councils, etc.) are not eligible.
