Door-to-Door Sales (Form H)

This form secures a licence in order to provide or supply any type of goods or services (in connection with commercial activities listed in Part I of Schedule I) by means of a doorstep contract, whether the offer is unsolicited by the person to whom it is made, or is solicited by the latter person in response to any advertisement, but does not include vendors of foodstuffs and beverages who sell their goods from door-to-door.
Exploring Research Grant

Research & Development initiatives address uncertainty thus undertaking a feasibility of the research before committing to the investment could help minimize risk.

A Feasibility Study will help the enterprise identify the technical, operational and commercial risks linked to the project, establish what resources are required to implement the project and what is already available and accessible.

Conducting the study can also help businesses determine the commercial potential of the products and services that might result from the research activity, enabling them to take a more knowledgeable decision on the financial risk of the envisaged project.
Export Licence

The majority of goods do not need a licence to be exported from Malta. However, a selection of goods as listed in the Schedule to the Exportation Control Regulations, 2004 (SL 117.02) need to attain prior authorisation from the Commerce Department before they can be released for export.
Extension of Substitution Period (Form D)

This form secures a permit to a substitute hawker to replace the principal licensee beyond 1 month for specific family reasons, which include:
i) Any period of time during which the licensee is ill.
ii) Any period of time during which the licensee is taking care of ailing parents, spouse or children.
iii) Any period of time during which the licensee is taking care of a parent, spouse, son or daughter who are registered as a disabled person with the National Commission for Persons with Disability (KNPD).
iv) Where the Licensee is pregnant (during the time of the pregnancy).
v) Where the Licensee gives birth or adopts a child (for a period of up to 2 years from the date of birth or from the date of adoption respectively); and
vi) Where the Licensee is fostering a child (for a period of 1 year from the date the fostering takes place or until the fostering ceases, whichever is the earlier).
Family Business Grant

Family Businesses should plan for succession aiming to retain the status of a family business. Planning should cover issues such as ultimate ownership, financial management, and governance.

Malta Enterprise, may support this process through the Family Business Grant by providing part financing of advisory and mediation services required by Family Businesses towards facilitation and planning of succession.
Gozo Transport Scheme

The scope of this scheme is to support manufacturing undertakings operating from Gozo by reducing the additional inter-island transport cost incurred for transporting materials, goods and finished products between Malta and Gozo. This assistance serves to reduce the cost-disadvantages for manufacturers based in Gozo, rendering these businesses in a better position to compete effectively within the single market.
Import Licence

The majority of goods do not need a licence to be imported into Malta. However, a selection of goods as listed in the Schedules to the Importation Control Regulations, 2004 (SL 117.14) need to attain prior authorisation from the Commerce Department before they can be released.
Invest – Support for Initial Investment Projects

This measure is intended to sustain the regional industrial and economic development of Malta by facilitating initial investments. Eligible investments must result in one of the following:

- setting up of a new establishment
- extension of the capacity of an existing establishment
- diversification of existing business
- fundamental change in an overall process
- acquisition of assets of an establishment that would have closed down
Market Hawker Licence

This form secures a food or a non-food market hawker licence.
Marketing Agent Licence

This form secures a marketing agent licence. The purpose of this licence is to allow the use of a commercial vehicle for the sale of goods by retail by an employee or agent on behalf of the principal Licensee. Such licence shall be required for each and every vehicle to be used for such activity.
