Warrants

  • Application for an ELT Permit Renewal

    ELT Permits will only be renewed following the approval of CPD hours by the ELT Council, as per legal requirements outlined in the CPD Policy. Click here for more information.

  • Application for an English Language Teaching (ELT) Permit

    To teach English as a foreign language in Malta, as per Legal Notice 221 of 2015, the individual needs to be in possession of an ELT Permit.

    Due to the shortage of teachers, temporary ELT Permits are also being issued. 
  • Application for the Issuing of a Warrant or Special Licence to Practice the Profession of Engineer in Malta

    The warrant provides the applicant with a licence to practice the profession of engineer in Malta.
  • ELT (English Language Teaching) School Licence

    To operate an English as a Foreign Language School (ELT) in Malta, a licence to operate by the ELT Council must be obtained.English Language Teaching (ELT) sector in Malta is regulated in terms of L.N. 221 of 2015.
  • English Language Teaching (ELT) School Licence Renewal

    An ELT School licence shall be valid for a period of not exceeding four years and may be renewed by the Council on application, by no later than four months prior to the termination of the validity period of the licence, subject to Legal Notice 221 of 2015 and to satisfying the quality assurance standards as the Council may determine from time to time.
  • Teacher's Temporary Warrant for Student Teachers

    Teachers teaching in compulsory education are requested by Law to be in possession of at least a temporary warrant.

  • VRT Tester Licence

    In order for vehicles to be licensed for use, these need to be certified as roadworthy and safe to be used on public roads according to the manuals approved by the Transport Malta. A VRT test means an examination of a vehicle carried out by a licensed Tester in order to certify that it is in a roadworthy condition and meets the established standards. A licensed Vehicle Tester means a competent person who has been licensed by the Transport Malta to inspect and certify vehicles as roadworthy.
