  • MDIA Regulatory Complaints Form

    The Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA) Regulatory Complaint Form applies to the complaints received from any natural or legal person, in accordance with Article 63 of Regulation (EU) 2019/881 (Cybersecurity Act), Article 27 of Regulation (EU) 2022/868 (Data Governance Act), Article 38 of Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (Data Act), Article 85 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (Artificial Intelligence Act)*, Article 52 of Regulation (EU) 2024/2847 (Cyber Resilience Act)*, pertinent Subsidiary Legislations, and any other regulations which may fall under the MDIA.
    *It should be noted that the corresponding provisions under the Artificial Intelligence Act and Cyber Resilience Act are still to come into application.

  • Notification of Data Intermediation Services Provider

    A Data Intermediation Services Provider acts as a neutral intermediary to facilitate data sharing and exchange between various entities, such as data holders, data users, and data subjects.


    Under the EU Data Governance Act (DGA) (Regulation (EU) 2022/868), these providers play a crucial role in creating a framework of trust and legal compliance for data-sharing activities, supporting transparent and secure data transactions. This notification offers an opportunity for the data intermediation services provider to align with the latest EU regulations on data governance, fostering trusted data exchanges and supporting transparent and fair data intermediation services.
     

  • Registration as a recognised Data Altruism Organisation

    A Data Altruism Organisation is a legal entity established to carry out data altruism activities and operate on a not-for-profit basis. Data altruism is defined as the voluntary sharing of data on the basis of the consent of data subjects or permission of data holders, as applicable, for objectives of general interest.

     

    Recognised Data Altruism Organisations are entities that facilitate data sharing in accordance with the EU Data Governance Act (DGA) (Regulation (EU) 2022/868). Under the DGA, Data Altruism Organisations play a vital role in creating frameworks for data altruism that adhere to strict governance, transparency, and security standards, building trust in the voluntary data-sharing ecosystem.

  • Technical Expert Natural Person (TENP)

    This Scheme is for individuals who, based on MDIA-established criteria, have the required knowledge and merit in a particular technological domain and  intend to apply to be recognised as a Technical Expert Natural Person (TENP), in particular domains, and shall also apply to TENPs already recognised, in particular domains, by the Authority and wish to renew their recognition.
