Industrial Permits

  • Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) Form B (Landfills)

    Landfills falling within scope of the thresholds stipulated in Schedule 1 of the Industrial Emissions (IPPC) Regulations (SL 549.77) require an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit prior to operation.
  • Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) Form C (Variation)

    Industrial activites operated under IPPC permit (as per SL 549.77) issued by the Competent Authority, which require a variation to the permit, need to fill in this form.
  • Licensing of Real Estate Agents, Property Brokers, Branch Managers and Property Consultants

    The Real Estate Agents, Property Brokers and Property Consultants Act​ (Chapter 615 of the laws of Malta)​ came into force on the 7th July 2020 and regulates the licensing of real estate agents, property brokers, property consultants and branch managers in Malta. Pursuant to the provisions of this act, no person shall carry on the activity of a property broker or real estate agent or be employed or engaged as a branch manager or property consultant after the 31st of December 2021 unless he/she is the holder of a license issued under the Act.
  • Notification of Hull Cleaning

    Individuals and companies registered with the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) to carry out hull cleaning activities are to notify ERA of their intent to carry out a hull cleaning or propellor polishing operation.
  • Registration of Activities (General) (ERA)

    The Environment and Resource Authority (ERA) regulates the environmental impact of small to medium enterprises. To this effect industrial installations (including hotels, restaurants, and minor industrial operations such as woodworkers, sprayers, mechanics, etc.) are required to be registered with ERA as the regulator.

  • Registration of Activities (Hull Cleaning)

    Individuals and companies which carry out hull cleaning activities within Maltese territorial waters need to be registered with the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) in order to operate.
  • Registration of Activities in SME (Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises) Sites

    The Environment and Resource Authority (ERA) regulates the environmental impact of small to medium enterprises. To this effect industrial complexes (SME sites) are required to be registered with ERA as the regulator.

  • Registration of Mobile Plant for Site Remediation

    The Environment and Resource Authority (ERA) regulates the environmental impact of small to medium enterprises. To this effect mobile equipment used to remedy contaminated sites are required to be registered with ERA as the regulator.
