Identity Management

  • Birth notification, registration and recognition

    A birth occurring in Malta must be notified by the parent/s within 15 days of birth at the Malta Public Registry. Births occurring in Gozo must be notified at the Gozo Public Registry. Notification of birth costs €2.60. For more information click here
  • Change of Address

    servizz.gov will facilitate the updating of citizen’s addresses alongside other details with the below government departments.

    The government departments are as follows:

    • Tax:
    • VAT
    • Jobsplus
    • Social Security
  • Death notification, registration and recognition

    A death occurring in Malta may be notified by the deceased’s relatives or anyone who is unrelated at the Malta Public Registry. Deaths occurring in Gozo must be notified at the Gozo Public Registry. No fee is charged for the notification of death. For more information click here
  • Identity Card for Citizens of Malta

    Application for the issuance of a Maltese ID Card applicable to Maltese citizens only.
  • Organisation Resolution/Extract from Board Minutes

    Entities or Organisations who wish to make use of online Government Services and are Registered or Notified with the Registrar For Legal Persons are requested to submit the Organisation  Service Agreement together with a Resolution or Extract of Board Minutes.
  • Organisation Services Agreement

    Entities who wish to make use of online Government Services and are MFSA registered are requested to submit the Organisation  Service Agreement together with a Resolution or Extract of Board Minutes.
  • Registering for an eID Account

    The eID, or electronic identity, is a trusted authentication mechanism for citizens and businesses to identify themselves to electronically access services from across government. You must have an eID to use eGovernment Services.
