  • Accessible Hoist for Sea Entry - Reservation Form

    Accessible Beach Hoist for Sea Entry

     

    Individuals with mobility impairments can now safely access the sea using a beach hoist located in Menqa, Marsalforn. Bookings can be made through the MyGozo App and are available hourly from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with each session lasting between 1 to 2 hours. An ERRC attendant will be present to assist from 15 minutes before to 15 minutes after your scheduled time.

  • Aġenzija Sapport Social Work Service Referral

    Professionals may refer persons with disability to Aġenzija Sapport services. The first contact for all services is with the Agency’s Intake Team.

  • Blue Badge Scheme (New Application)

    The Blue Badge is a legal document that allow holders to park in reserved parking bays. This document is issued by Aġenzija Sapport to eligible applicants. One may also apply on behalf of another person to facilitate submission.

    Disability Equality Training is a form of educational training designed to raise disability awareness, challenge stereotypes, and promote understanding of the social model of disability. 

  • Complaint form to report discrimination on the grounds of disability

    The Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability (CRPD)’s main responsibility is to safeguard Cap 627 of the Laws of Malta the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) Act. The Investigations Unit within CRPD is tasked to investigate complaints made to them of failure to comply with any provision of the UNCRPD Act on an individual case basis and, where it seems appropriate, conciliate in relation to such complaints. 

    This form allows both persons with disabilities and their family members (those directly affected) to report to the CRPD if they feel that they were discriminated on the grounds of disability.  
     

  • Complaint form to report inaccessible buildings and public spaces

    The Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability (CRPD)’s main responsibility is to safeguard Cap 627 of the Laws of Malta the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) Act. Amongst the rights of persons with disabilities under the UNCRPD Act, is the right of access to public spaces.

    CRPD has published the Access for All Design Guidelines (AADG) 2011 which lays out what Malta considers as accessible within public spaces and buildings. In 2019, Malta has also elevated the standard SM 3800:2015, "Accessibility for All in the Built Environment", to the status of Subsidiary Legislation under Cap 413 of the Laws of Malta the Equal Opportunities (Persons with Disabilities) Act.

    Nevertheless, persons with disabilities are still encountering barriers in terms of physical accessibility. For this scope, this form can be used by persons with disabilities and their families to report public spaces which are not accessible to all.

  • Empowerment Scheme

    The Empowerment Scheme aim to provide financial assistance to persons with disability enabling them to purchase equipment and which would also allow them to lead a more independent life within their own home and locality. The Scheme is run by an independent Board which includes a number of professionals, who meet once a month to assess and evaluate all applications received during that period.

  • EU Disability Card

    Aġenzija Sapport offers the EU Disability Card service that allows persons with a disability to apply for a number of services offered by departments or private entities.
