  • Residential Services

Where the family home environment is not possible or available, the Residential Services enable persons with disability to live as independently as possible in the community. Such residential support is provided within small and personalised apartments and houses, which may be residences of the Agency, the home of the individual with disability, or at another location acceptable to all parties, but in the area of operation of Aġenzija Sapport.
  • Sonia Tanti Independent Living Centre

The Sonia Tanti Independent Living Centre (STILC) is Malta’s first independent living centre and forms part of CRPD (Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability). The centre provides persons with disability and their families with advice, information, and training in order to achieve, regain or maintain their independence mainly by owning the means to one's own mobility.
  • Special Identity Card & EU Disability Card (SID-EU Card)

The Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disability (CRPD) offers a Special ID (SID-EU) Card to persons with disability in order to help them play an active role in society.
A holder of the SID-EU Card may apply for a number of services aimed for persons with disability within Government departments or private establishments.

  • Student Placements

Aġenzija Sapport provides placements which are hands-on and relevant to students from various academic institutions and programmes. The goal of such placements is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and experience to complement their studies in various fields. The Agency offers placements within most departments, whether administrative in office environments or on the frontline within the services, according to the requirements of the respective course.
  • Support Groups for Siblings of Persons with Disabilities

The Sapport Social Work Services organise workshops for siblings of disabled persons. These workshops include various topics that appeal to this audience.
  • Workshops and Support Groups - Aġenzija Sapport

When a child is diagnosed with a disability, the family goes through a rollercoaster of emotions. Families may also experience a sense of helplessness and lack of courage. Even though the needs of each family are individual, some queries and emotions are common amongst families who have a child with disability. Thus Aġenzija Sapport Social Work Services launched Workshops and Support groups to support these families.
