  • Public Collection

    The application is made for the purpose of obtaining a licence to be issued by the Commissioner of Police to a person who is promoting, or proposes to promote a collection in any locality for a charitable purpose, or a purpose approved by the Minister responsible for the Police.

    When collecting the licence, applicants should produce a valid identification document such as a valid passport or ID Card. The licence will be granted subject that the provisions laid down in the Public Collections Act Chapter 279 are satisfied.

    The application, which must contain all the information as set out in the form in the First Schedule of the relative Act, must be signed by at least 3 individuals.
  • Public Collection Statement of Account

    A promoter who was issued with a licence for any public collection must, within 5 weeks from the last day of the collection or the day on which the licence expires, in addition to the other provisions of the Act, deliver to the Commissioner of Police the statement made in the form set out in the Second Schedule of the Act, the information therein required and certified correct apart from other requirements in the same Act.

    Arrangements need to be made for the tags and certificates of authority, to be returned to the District Police from where the licence had been issued.

  • Weapons Licence Renewal

    Holders of a Firearms Collector licence B, in terms of Chapter 480 and SL 480.02, and who are also in possession of the eID, may renew their Collector B licence online.
