Maltese citizens can obtain a Conduct Certificate by calling personally at the Criminal Records Office at the Police General Headquarters in Floriana, or else proceed to fill in the electronic form. On the day of collection, applicants must personally produce a valid identification document such as a valid passport or valid ID Card.
In cases where the applicant is not in a position to collect the certificate in person due to health conditions, an authorisation letter duly signed by the applicant can be produced by a third party which should include the local residence address of the person collecting the certificate, the reason for not being able to collect the certificate, a medical report, a copy of the applicant’s ID Card and the ID Card of the collector.
For Maltese applicants who are living abroad, an authorisation letter by the applicant needs to be produced by the third party and it should include the foreign residence address of the applicant together with the ID Card number of the authorised person. A copy of the applicant’s passport also needs to be produced together with the ID Card of the authorised person collecting the conduct certificate of the applicant.
