Overview

The Entry/Exit Summary Declaration provides 3 methods of submitting the declaration: either by entering each consignment manually, uploading an XML file over the internet, or the trader’s system connects to the Customs system directly through web services. Carriers need to submit an application to be given access to the Summary Declaration System.

When this form is successfully processed the Customs Department will issue and email the trader with his/her username and a temporary password to access the module requested.

Registered traders with Customs Department may apply for remote access.Fill in the form and submit. Carriers/Traders having their own software system and System Providers may access the Entry/Exit Summary Declaration Application Form for System to System User form to apply for an account in order to be able to connect with the Malta Customs System to commence with the conformance testing procedure. The user immediately receives a notification to confirm his/her acceptance. When this form is successfully processed the Customs Department will issue the trader an email with his/her username and a temporary password to access the module requested. If the request is rejected, the trader is notified explaining the reason of rejection. In this case a fresh application would be required if the trader decides to re-apply.
