  • New Permit Application to Operate a Water Sports Centre

    Through this form, applicants can obtain various water sports operating licences such as:
    - Paragliding/Water skiing.
    - Hire of mechanically driven small ships.
    - Hire of paddle boats, canoes and other non-mechanically driven small ships.
  • Notice of Installation - Change of Engine/s of a Small Ship

    This form is used by any individual or companies/business entities with the intention of installing and/or changing an engine on a small ship registered with the Small Ships Register.
  • Ownership Declaration by Individual Owner or Transferee for Ships

    Through this form, applicants submit a declaration that a vessel will be transferred to a new owner.
  • Ownership Declaration on Behalf of a Body Corporate as Owner or Transferee for Ships

    Through this form, applicants submit a declaration that a vessel will be transferred to a new company.
  • Permission to Hold a Maritime Activity

    Individuals, companies or entities interested in organising maritime activities with ports, internal and territorial waters of Malta, should apply by using this application form.
  • Preliminary Application to Obtain or Transfer a Water Sports Operator's Licence

    A company or an individual wanting to obtain or transfer a Water Sports operating licence.
  • Provisional Ship Station Licence (SOLAS Ships)

    Request for Provisional Ship Station Licence for Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS).
    In terms of the Electronic Communications (Regulation) Act (Cap.399), a ship radio station licence is required for the installation or use of equipment. Non-compliance with this requirement is a breach of the said Act.
  • Radio Installation Inspection Form (Non-SOLAS)

    A radio survey report to be duly filled by a qualified Radio technician/surveyor.
  • Registration of EPIRB (Emergency Positioning Indicating Radio Beacon) Equipment

    Through this form, applicants can apply for a distress beacon registration card. Satellite Emergency Positioning Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRBs) are regulated by the General Authorisations (Radiocommunications Apparatus) Regulations (S.L.399.40). In particular, please ensure that the assigned MMSI is duly programmed in this radiocommunications apparatus.
  • Request for ABEYANCE (Temporary Closure)

    Applicants requests to terminate the registration of boat. A re-registration process would be required to re-activate the registration.
