Ħarsa ġenerali​

The employment of minors is a very sensitive issue concerning the child’s education and health and safety. The Law provides certain criteria that must be met prior to issuing a permit for the employment of minors.

Minors who have not yet completed compulsory schooling need a school exemption for work purposes. This mostly applies for students who are in Form 4 and who have an opportunity to work during summer or after school hours, or fifth Formers who want to work after school hours.

Eliġibbiltà​​

Minors who are 15 years old.

Their employer should be in conformity with the legal obligations listed hereafter:

- Manpower Records (Commencement or termination of employment) Regulations - S.L 343.23.
- Young Persons (Employment) Regulations – S.L 452.92.
- Occupational Health and Safety Authority Act - Chapter 424.
- Social Security Act - Chapter 318.

Ġenituri jew il-kustodji legali jridu jaċċessaw il-formola, jimlewha u jiffirmawha (Sezzjoni A). Il-Kap tal-Iskola jrid jiffirma u jittimbra wkoll fil-kaxxa indikata f’Sezzjoni A.

Wieħed mill-ġenituri jew mill-kustodji legali jrid jippreżenta l-formola mimlija lill-iskola jew lis-Servizz ta’ Ħidma Soċjali fi ħdan is-Servizzi Nazzjonali ta’ Sapport għall-iskejjel flimkien ma’ dawn id-dokumenti:

i. Kopja tal-karta tal-identità tal-ġenituri/kustodji legali.

ii. Kopja tal-karta tal-identità tal-minuri. Jekk il-minuri mhux ċittadin Malti, kopja taċ-ċertifikat tat-twelid.

iii. Id-digriet tal-Qorti li jindika min għandu il-kura u l-kustodja tal-minuri fejn applikabbli. Din il-formola ma tistax tiġi sottomessa onlajn minħabba r-rekwiżit ta' firma oriġinali. Applikazzjonijiet ta’ studenti li għandhom 15-il sena biss għandhom ikunu sottomessi
