Additional Benefit for Gozitan Students to assist with Rental Costs associated with Living in Malta during their Period of Study

Overview

Students resident in Gozo who are renting accommodation whilst following full-time courses in Malta can apply for an additional benefit to assist with the rental costs. The additional benefit will be given throughout the scholastic year (i.e. October to June).

What you'll get

The subsidy will be calculated pro rata as it depends on the amount of students that reside in the accommodation (maximum of 3 students) and the amount of rent paid per month.

The maximum amount one can receive is that of €100 per month.

Eligibility

Students resident in Gozo who are attending tertiary education in Malta (including MCAST).

The address of the student needs to be in Gozo and that the student has been living in Gozo for a minimum period of 18 months.

Students need to first have registered under the scheme titled: ""Grant Payable to Gozitan Resident Students Following Full-Time Courses in Malta"" and have an approved application.

The student is renting an apartment in Malta during the period of her/his study and that the lessor is not her/his parents or siblings.

There needs to be a contract clearly indicating the amount of monthly rental and the address of the apartment.
