Teachers who in previous years have been issued with a temporary warrant, and who are practising the profession whilst not in possession of a Permanent Warrant, are to apply for a renewal of the temporary warrant.
The employment of minors is a very sensitive issue concerning the child’s education and health and safety. The Law provides certain criteria that must be met prior to issuing a permit for the employment of minors.Minors who have not yet completed compulsory schooling need a school exemption for work purposes. This mostly applies for students who are in Form 4 and who have an opportunity to work during summer or after school hours, or fifth Formers who want to work after school hours.
The Summer Catch-Up Programme 2024 aims in helping students who may need extra help with their studies and those who wish to revise and feel more comfortable and at ease at school. The programme is intended for learners in Years 1 to 10 and is open for all students.The Catch-up classes will see to provide revision of work done during the previous scholastic year and is being taught by fully qualified teachers to all students of both primary and secondary level in small year groups. The programme shall be running for eight weeks between July 15th and September 5th on a four-day week.
